DJ Stewart

Partner

Prior to joining Asymmetria, DJ worked as a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, working within the Securitized Products business. Responsible for assisting in our strategic direction, expanding the sponsor network, and supporting investor relations, DJ draws from a 10 year investment background in alternative markets, as well as 15 years experience working on an institutional trading desk. DJ earned an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, and his BS from Cornell University.

Chad Carstensen

Partner

Since Asymmetria’s inception, Chad has played a supporting role in sourcing, underwriting and managing Asymmetria’s diverse portfolio, totaling $1.65B of assets. He is a member of the investment advisory board and proactively monitors investment performance and reporting, while leading investor relations and capital raising efforts. Chad earned his MBA and BS from Harding University’s Paul R. Carter College of Business.

Greg Carstensen

President & CIO

Greg has over 20 years of institutional investment management experience. Previously, Greg oversaw the fixed-income portfolio at American Equity, managing over $26B in assets. During his tenure, he actively managed sleeves focused on investment-grade credit, distressed debt, real estate, and mortgage-backed securities. In 2014, Greg co-founded Asymmetria with Chad Carstensen and Scott Keplinger. Greg earned an MBA from the University of Iowa and a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy from St. Olaf College. He is also a member of the Iowa Society of Chartered Analysts.
